We're a startup from Vienna, and in September 2008 we'll be touring the West Coast to
- meet friends.
- hang out with cool hackers.
- attend a wedding.
- do serious internet business.
- eat lots of burritos and cupcakes.
- court investors.
- give talks.
- show off our robots.
If you're active in the local tech scene and passionate about what you're doing, we'd love to meet/visit you during our trip! Book quality time with us!
Our Team
Paul Boehm's interests revolve around game theory, reputation systems, social sorting, and organization design. He's been a well known security researcher, and has founded the DeepSec Security Conference, and the Metalab. He's also written quite a lot of software, from quantum cryptography protocols to tcp/ip stacks. Together with YEurope, he's an angel investor in tumblelogging startup soup.io.
Angelo Laub wrote the Tunnelblick OpenVPN GUI, which is (among others) used by several universities and the U.S. Department of Defense. He's worked for several U.S. startups (Anchorfree, Telethra, ESPRE solutions, OpenVPN) as a freelance Software Developer on video streaming, voice-over-IP and encryption software. Angelo loves Objective-C and iPhone Development.
Esther Schneeweisz is addicted to technology, design, and aesthetics. She's worked as account manager, studio manager, and assistant at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, and now works about 16 hours a day as a troublemaker and -shooter in only one person. In her rare spare time she builds robots, writes computer games, and makes one hell of a dirty soy chai latte.
Markus Hametner and Tim Kuhn stay in Vienna to maintain operations.

Our Startup
We're bringing quality metrics to food delivery. On our website, Mjam.at customers can order food and have it delivered to their home or office. We relay these orders to partner restaurants close to the customer. By analyzing customer behaviour we can learn a lot about which restaurants are good and which aren't, and we then feed this information back into our system.A week after our launch, we're already getting about 20 orders per day in our test market in Vienna (over two thousand USD in revenues per month). Since food delivery is a 70bn euro market in the EU and even bigger in the US, we'd now like to raise some cash to grow our business and expand internationally. If you're interested in our startup, we'd love to talk to you about it.
